2 Months Old

I can't believe this adorable little boy has been in our lives 2 months already! He is our chucky little monkey and we love him so much! Here are so pictures of Reed on his 2 month birthday!

So big, yet so little!

The smile that will melt your heart!

Mom are we done yet?

Can you tell in this picture that he is constantly moving? I took a ton of pictures and this is the only one that is half way in focus.

What Reed is up to at 2 months....

  • smiling more & more...it melts my heart

  • kicking & moving like crazy

  • chews on his fist and fingers constantly

  • still doesn't like pacifiers

  • still has pretty blue eyes

  • likes standing up...he has some strong little legs

  • loves his baths

  • wearing 3-6 month clothes, he only wore 0-3 for 2 weeks, there are still a few 0-3 things he can wear but not many

  • Consistently sleeping 5-6 hours, with a few 7 hour nights, on 6/7, 6/8 & 6/9 he slept 8-9 hours....I am hoping this continues (one morning he actually went back to sleep until 9 am in his bouncy seat). He also had one 8 hour night at 7 weeks and 2 days. He is doing great sleeping in his crib at night.

  • goes to bed around 10 pm

  • still eating every 2 1/2 to 3 hours during the day, nurses 7-8 times a day

  • still does not nap well during the day, 99% of the time he must be rocked to sleep and then it is so hard to get him to lay down anywhere during the day, I am lucky to get 30 mins without holding him if he is asleep

  • loves his playmat and bouncy seat they keep him entertained at least long enough for me to get a shower or eat a little lunch (he really just started liking his bouncy seat this week, the toys are right at eye level and he will laugh and smile at them for hours)

  • moved to size 1 diapers at 5 weeks

  • most of the time Reed prefers to be laying out flat in your lap or on his playmat, he likes for you to talk to him, but doesn't really liked to be cradled and messed with

  • lately he has been going through 2 outfits almost every day, he is constantly pooping out of diapers (this is a post all by itself)

  • consistently rolling to his side...doesn't appear to be close to rolling over at all

  • doing good in his bumbo seat

  • just starting to slobber a little

Reed's Dedication

On May 30th, we dedicated Reed to the Lord. By doing this, Josh and I promised before our family and church congregation that we will raise Reed up in the church and teach and guide him to accept Christ as his savior one day. This was a special time for us and we were so blessed to have our families there with us. Our church prayed over us and Reed received a t-shirt to remember the occasion and we received a certificate to sign and keep reminding us of our promise.

The shirt has the verse Jeremiah 29:11 on it, for I know the plans I have made for you.

Remembering the little things...

Reed is getting so big (he is 7 weeks here)! We have been putting him in gowns at night to sleep in because they are to convenient for those midnight diaper changes, but he is starting to grow out of them. Josh was getting Reed ready for bed one night and decided to put him in his baseball sleeper. I couldn't help but think back to Christmas when Josh received this sleeper as a gift. I love to remember the little times like this, before Reed was born, we couldn't have imagined how precious the little boy would be that would wear this sleeper.

Reed and Daddy!

Please note the dogs on each side, they are still trying to figure out who this little guy in the house is.
