Reed's Room

So we have FINALLY started working on Reed's room some! I have lots of details and plans in my head I am just having trouble getting them executed, as always! Just to put in perspective how hard it is for me or maybe I should say how hard I make it....I have never picked a paint color, we moved in our house and we have not painted one room, because I just get overwhelmed and give up! Well, this time I couldn't give up and a decision had to get made and we finally did.

I never dreamed I would be painting a room blue but once we found the main fabric we wanted to use and decided that we wanted to do vintage baseball stuff as accents, baby blue just made sense for the walls. I know baby blue and it was still so hard for me to pick the color! We finally found the perfect blue and also decided to do stripes on one wall where the crib will be. There is still several touch-ups, but I am loving the room so far! The crib has also been on order for 2 and 1/2 weeks so I am hoping that it will be here any day!

So imagine pictures of a dark green room here! Since we got a new camera for Christmas the before pictures of the room are on the other camera and I have searched the house up and down for the cord and can not find it! I will post pictures as soon as I find it! Because the room was so dark we decided to Kilz the room and it has been a white box with plastic on the floor for about a month. I can not wait until this room is complete!
Testing out the paint colors!

Painting the stripes after the hard work of taping them!

I think they turned out good!

This is a terrible picture, because yet again the fabric pictures are on my old camera and this is a picture of a color copy, but this is the main fabric we are going off of. The main colors we are using are navy and red, because most of the baseball accents will be Braves things. I love this stripe fabric, but finding material besides solids to go with it has been very challenging, that is a blog in its self, I will save that dilemma for later!

27th week Reed Update

Yesterday, I had my last monthly appointment! The past 6 months have flown by! I had my glucose test (which wasn't to bad at all) and also had another ultrasound to check my low lying placenta. My placenta has moved up, which is a definite answer to prayer and means no c-section at this point; however, stubborn little Reed is still breech. I have been pretty confident that he has been breech the whole pregnancy (all the kicks have been very low) , so now we just need him to turn a somersault in the next couple of months! If I do have to have a c-section I know everything will work out fine; however, all you girls know that that is not the experience you wish for, but if it happens it happens!

Reed weighed 2 lbs. 3 oz. and his heartbeat was 144 bpm. We could definitely tell a huge difference in his size, his hands and feet looked so big. He had his hands up around his face and his mouth was even open some. We also got to see his little beating heart again, which is so amazing! Hearing it is awesome but actually seeing it beating inside of me is such a miracle!
